HomeHold Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
HomeHold collects minimal data to provide its services:
- Camera & Photos: Used solely to take photos of inventory items. Photos are stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your Google Sheets if you enable sync.
- Anonymous Account: A unique anonymous identifier is created via Supabase Auth to manage in-app purchases and sync data across devices.
- Device ID: Used to associate purchases with your device. On iOS, a UUID is stored in Keychain. On Android, the system SSAID is used.
- Advertising Identifier (IDFA/GAID): Collected only with your consent (via App Tracking Transparency on iOS) to deliver personalized advertisements.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide inventory management features
- To process and restore in-app purchases
- To sync data across devices when you link an Apple or Google account
- To display advertisements via Google AdMob (personalized or non-personalized based on your consent)
3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your data based on:
- Consent: For personalized advertising and tracking (you can withdraw consent at any time via Settings > Manage Ad Privacy Settings)
- Legitimate Interest: For non-personalized advertising, fraud prevention, and app functionality
- Contract: For processing in-app purchases and providing the service
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: Displays ads. May collect device identifiers for personalized advertising with your consent. Google Privacy Policy

- RevenueCat: Manages in-app purchase entitlements. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- Apple / Google: Processes in-app purchases through their respective stores.
5. Data Storage & Retention
Your inventory data is stored locally on your device. If you enable Google Sheets sync, data is also stored in your personal Google Sheet. We do not store your inventory data on our servers.
Server-side data (purchase records, redemption records, anonymous account) is retained until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time via Settings > Delete Account.
6. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence (including the United States) through our third-party service providers. These transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide app functionality.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Deletion: Delete your account and all server-side data (Settings > Delete Account)
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
- Portability: Export your data (Settings > Export Database)
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw advertising consent at any time (Settings > Manage Ad Privacy Settings)
- Opt-out of Sale/Sharing: For California (CCPA/CPRA) and other US state residents, you can opt out via the in-app privacy settings
- Lodge a Complaint: Contact your local data protection authority

9. Children's Privacy
HomeHold is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
